This study will examine the experiences of NSW Department of Education school counsellors during the 2020 COVID-19 learning-from-home period and its aftermath. Adopting a qualitative methodology, the proposal study will recruit school counsellors working within NSW Department of Education schools. Participants will take part in a 45-minute interview either in person or via Zoom. The proposed research will add to existing research by contributing to a growing body of research concerning the impact of COVID- 19 on mental health and school counsellors' experiences in schools during the learning from- home-period and its aftermath, examine an under-examined phenomenon of the learning-from-home period from the perspectives of school counsellors in DET schools and looking towards informing future practices, and by understanding school counsellor adaptation of practices as reflected within the lived experiences of individuals
