This study will explore the ability for school counsellors to connect with students during the COVID-19 lockdown. Adopting a qualitative methodology, the proposal study will recruit AHPRA-approved school counsellors. Participants will take part in a 40-minute face-to-face or Zoom interview. The proposed study will add to existing research by potentially gaining an understanding of how school counsellors in regional and rural New South Wales engaged with their students during the COVID-19 learning-from-home period. Developing such understandings has to potential to inform practice for the future.
