The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic led to school closures across NSW, and also necessitated widespread changes to school teaching and learning practices. This research seeks to examine changes to student outcomes, teacher morale and teacher efficacy, as a result of these changes. This research will involve secondary use of teacher and student data collected for the 'Building Capacity for Quality Teaching in Australian Schools' study. This data will be supplemented by teacher interviews about how the COVID-19 has impacted their teaching practice.
