2019 Registrations Open
The NSW Premier's Sporting Challenge (PSC) is looking forward to another big year! In 2018 we had more than 410,000 students and 8000 staff participate from over 1500 schools. All NSW Public Schools are invited to participate in a 10 week physical activity Challenge period which aims to have more students, more active, more often. Physical activity isn't just about being fit, it's about building resilience, improving concentration, and supporting overall health and wellbeing. Principals/PSC Facilitators can now access the PSC Tracker to CONFIRM their school's participation in this year's Challenge. Schools will now have the option to opt out of receiving student/staff logbooks and certificates. This is in response to feedback from some schools wishing to be more sustainable. We highly recommend consulting with staff and your school community before making this decision and consider the impact this may have on successfully running the Challenge. All registered schools receive a funding grant determined by the number of participating students' names entered into the PSC Tracker. Also don't forget to register for the Staff Challenge! Staff participants have the option to choose between receiving either a wrist pedometer or resistance bands (pack of 3 with different strengths) to kick start their physical activity in the 10 week Challenge. Make sure your school is registered by Friday 12 April 2019. If you need assistance please contact the PSC team at psc@det.nsw.edu.au or call (02) 9266 8404.
