The March 2018 eNewsletter provides a variety of opportunities and resources available to students, teachers and schools across School Sport Unit programs held throughout NSW. Don't miss out on registering / applying by the due dates shown - special reminder about the closing date for the 2018 Premier's Sporting Challenge - don't miss out on your school grant.
Special thank you to school sport organisers and the many dedicated teachers involved in their local school swimming championships - the NSWCHS and NSWPSSA State Swimming Championships will be held in week 11 and couldn't occur without your efforts at the school level.
With the 2018 Commonwealth Games almost upon us a list of past NSW public school students is provided in this eNewsletter, please don't hesitate to let us know if we have missed any.
Could I also remind all teachers planning sport and physical activity at school level to consult the Sport Safety Guidelines to ensure all safety measures are being observed.

Jim Keath has been Lambton High School’s Interschool Sports Coordinator for the last 5 years, and has organised many in-school sporting competitions, and other sporting events during this time. This has resulted in his students developing a real passion for sport and love of physical activity.

| Simplifying the Classification Process for Students with Disabilities |
|
From 2018 on, the NSWPSSA and NSWCHS will require students with disabilities to have provisional classification to compete at zone, regional and state level competitions in Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics. Participation at national level events will still require national classification.
