Principals are invited to recognise teacher excellence and outstanding contribution to student outcomes in school sport over an extended period of time by nominating them for the Excellent Service to School Sport award.

When considering a teacher nomination principals should consider:

  • sustained service and significant commitment to public education and school sport in particular
  • evidence of innovation or improved practice in school sport and physical activity programs 
  • impact on student outcomes in the school sport setting
  • involvement in the representative sport pathway as an official.

Excellent Service to School Sport Award nomination form to be completed and emailed to psc@det.nsw.edu.au. Nominations close Friday 15 June, 2018.

Each nomination is considered by a panel to determine a nominee’s suitability to receive the Excellent Service to School Sport award. Some applications are deemed worthy but do not meet the high standards associated with this prestigious award. Teachers in this category will receive a Certificate of Recognition.

Recipients of the Excellent Service to School Sport award and their school are provided with framed A4 certificates at the end of Term 3. Principals are encouraged to organise a presentation at a suitable time.
