In Term 3, staff who participate in the 10 week Challenge (10wC) staff challenge have the option to take part in ‘Wellbeing tracking’ where they can create and track 4 wellbeing and health goals over the 10 weeks of the challenge. This is completed in the 10wC activity tracker web app.
This is only available in Term 3 to staff participants. More information can be found in the 'Using the 10wC activity tracker web app staff participant guide' (PDF 1554KB).
Note: these wellbeing goals will not affect the final 10wC award level which is only calculated based on your 10wC activity tracking. This wellbeing tracking is just for personal benefit and will not affect the final 10wC award level.
Preview of the 10wC staff wellbeing challenge
The 10wC wellbeing challenge asks participants to set daily wellbeing goals. That is, goals that can be accomplished every day during the 10 week Challenge.
These goals can be based around a range of wellbeing areas - physical/fitness, mental/emotional, diet and nutrition, spiritual/meditation, screen use, or sleep behaviours.
Specific | What do you want to accomplish? How will you accomplish the goal? |
---|---|
Measurable | What criteria will you use to know you’ve achieved your goal? |
Achievable | Is the goal realistic in your current and future situation? |
Relevant | How is the goal related to improving your overall wellbeing? |
Time-Bound | When will this be achieved and what time-pressures exist? |
Goals set for the 10wC activity tracker wellbeing challenge need to be a maximum of 25 characters - so need to be written as concise as possible. Use characters such as +, -, >, < to reduce your goal descriptions. E.g. Sleep >7hrs
Consider writing some broader SMART goals that you can achieve by the end of the 10 week Challenge. Hold yourself accountable by writing a 'contract' to yourself.
" I will ______(action)__________ by __(date)__ so that ________(outcome)_________."
Staff who have complete/d the Term 2 staff challenge they can still participate in the 10wC in Term 3 but need to either:
- Choose to track their wellbeing goals only for Term 3 (having already entered activity data for Term 2).
- 'Restart challenge' in the 10wC activity tracker web app menu - this will clear all Term 2 entered activities and you can start your tracking your activity again in Term 3 along with your wellbeing goal tracking - this should clear your e-Wall chart data as well.
- Clear their e-Wall chart Term 2 data if the 10wC activity tracker app was not used (i.e. award levels were manually entered in the staff e-Wall chart).
They should note their final 10wC award level they achieved in Term 2 and at the end of the challenge can submit the higher of the two award levels (Term 2 vs Term 3) as their final 10wC award.
See the 10wC staff challenge webpage for instructions if you need to:
- add more staff participants to your staff team
- change your PSC registration to include participation in the 10wC staff challenge.
