The PSC Sport Leadership program supports schools in providing leadership opportunities for students through sport and physical activity. The program supports a whole school approach to sport and physical activity as outlined in the Sport and Physical Activity: School Health Check. What is required to participate?
- Complete the PSC Sport Leadership Program Application form (Closed for 2023).
- Determine the number of student leaders involved, and primary schools invited to participate in the gala day is at the discretion of the secondary school. Numbers are at the discretion of the secondary school.
- Provide training for student leaders prior to hosting, support resources from the PSC team will be provided.
- Ask students to complete pre/post evaluation surveys.
- Promote School Sports Unit (SSU) resources and programs with visiting primary school teachers (information will be provided by the PSC team).
- Conduct a final acquittal of funds. This will include final student numbers and an indication on how funds were spent.

In Option 2, schools are invited to propose an alternate sport leadership program for their school and to apply for funding from the PSC. Proposals need to outline how the support funding will be used to provide sport leadership opportunities for Stage 5 and/or 6 students. This might include but is not limited to:
- officiating at a primary school or primary zone athletics carnival,
- coaching/officiating at primary school weekly sport
- coaching/officiating at primary school state-wide knockouts
- or another school-based initiative
What is required to participate?
- Completion of the PSC Sport Leadership Program Application form (Closed for 2023).
- Describe the proposed initiative in detail.
- Develop a budget which should consider teacher relief, transportation costs and/or equipment/resources
- Conduct a final acquittal of funds, including final student numbers and an indication of how funds were spent.
